2015 Santa Sleigh schedule

With Christmas approaching rapidly the Ironbridge Lions’ Santa sleigh is once again being readied for action. This year that readying has involved a major overhaul of the sleigh’s electrical system and we are indebted to Mark Bebb of Salop Leisure for the donation of two caravan batteries to drive the lights and music.

This year, as for very many past years, our schedule will be a mix of weekend collections outside the major supermarkets and evening tours of some of the major housing areas. Overall, the sleigh will be in action for around 50 hours and will involve more than 250 hours of support activity. A massive ‘thank you’ to all of those who take part in this – particularly to the Friends of the club without whom  it would not be possible.

Santa is due to make his first appearance at the Ironbridge Lights switch-on     on Saturday 28th November and his schedule will then be as follows:

5th December:          Madeley Lights switch-on, Anstice Hall, 1-6pm
12th December:        Lees Farm 6-8pm
13th December:        Tesco, Madeley, 11am – 4pm.
Lees Farm, 4.15 - 6.15pm
14th December:        Stirchley, 6-8pm
15th December:        Sutton Hill, 6-8pm
16th December:        St George’s, 6–8pm
17th December:        St George’s, 6–8pm
18th December:        Asda, Donnington, 10am-4pm
19th December:        Sainsburys, 10am-4pm
                                    Randlay, 4.15 - 6.15pm
20th December:        Asda, Donnington, 11am-4pm
                                    Randlay, 4.15 - 6.15pm
23rd December:        Morrisons, Lawley, 10am-4pm
24th December:       Morrisons, Lawley, 10am-4pm
